I Coudn’t Wait to Escape from the Corporate World.

When I was an insignificant cog in a giant corporate machine, all I dreamed about was having my own business and having control over working on projects I cared about. I wanted to build a one-person business without a capricious boss who cared only about the next ‘win.’

I learned the hard way - by being laid off or having my ‘position eliminated’ — corporate-speak for being fired without cause— five times in my career. As my experience grew, so did my salary, and when economic trends were challenging, I was first on the chopping block.

The workplace is changing. Fewer young people are opting for corporate work in favor of creating something meaningful like a one-person business that makes a difference in people’s lives and doesn’t simply sell the latest widget for a corporate behemoth.

Is there anything you can do to escape while you still can? Yes, there is. You can start small while you’re still working your 9-5 and build the foundation for a Tiny Little Empire.

I was laid off five times by corporate employers and always without notice. Sometimes, even without severance pay. Fuck them.

What’s a Tiny Little Empire?

  • A Tiny Little Empire (TLE) is a one-person business that lives inside your laptop.

  • It allows you to work 2-3 hours/day max and brings in the supplemental income you need, all by identifying, packaging, and sharing the skills and expertise you already possess.

  • Just think…your TLE could be your ticket to a solvent retirement, extra monthly cash, or (if you’re still working and hate it) a replacement for your current job.

  • It might be how you pay for Junior’s orthodontics or how you fund your travel or golf vacations.

I’ve built a Tiny Little Empire with email courses based on the skills and expertise honed over my career, and I can teach you to do the same. Getting the first two chapters of my book, Tiny Little Empire, is the first step.

Here’s how I did it…

Everyone has some specialized knowledge and/or expertise….even if you think you don’t, you do.

  • My areas of unique expertise include running a tiny one-person online business

  • Using these skills, I created a series of brief, six-lesson mini-courses delivered via email, teaching others what I know

  • All without complicated teaching platforms with usernames and passwords to track (everyone knows how to use email)

  • These mini-courses help them start, market, and deliver their unique mini-courses via email

  • It’s a win for them and for me 😎

Could you do this? Absolutely!

I guarantee that you have at least two skills that others would pay you to share in a simple email course.
